I only loved one guy before I met my husband. He was my longest dating relationship prior to meeting Josh. And I’m proud to say the relationship lasted an entire six weeks.

The truth is, no one knew everything that was going on with me. I only told people bits and pieces – whatever I felt I could trust them with, or whatever I felt they could handle without judging me. But… no one knew everything.
When Johnny broke up with me and never talked to me again, I was devastated. The hardest part was experiencing his rejection and having no closure (that I could actually remember). Yesterday I took us on a little road trip back to my past. [Click here to catch up]
We’re going to pick up right where we left off.
So, we’re back in 6th grade again. My second year of 6th grade. I am still recovering from being the “home-schooled-stupid-child”. This year, a new girl had arrived in my class. As I mentioned yesterday, our school was small, so anything outside the ordinary drew massive amounts of attention. This new girl in my class was tall, skinny [of course], she was athletic, with long shiny brown hair. Oh, and she was rich. At least rich compared to my family. She owned her own horse! I do not have a guest writer lined up for today, so I decided to begin sharing part of my own story.
Last week, I reconnected with an old friend and asked if this person would be willing to share their story here on the blog as part of the Your Story series. My friend politely declined. What happened in the past was still all too fresh.
